Msika Kipaji Hub is our flagship vocational training and mentorship program dedicated to empowering young refugee women with practical skills, confidence, and purpose.

In refugee communities, young women often face significant barriers to education and economic opportunities. Msika Kipaji (which translates to "Talent Market" in Swahili) addresses these challenges by providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and resources that enable participants to achieve economic independence and personal growth.

Our holistic approach combines hands-on skills training with emotional support, spiritual guidance, and business education to create transformative change in the lives of vulnerable young women.

Program Components

Girls Mentorship Program

Our comprehensive 3-month mentorship program pairs each participant with a caring mentor who provides guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their journey.

One-on-one mentorship pairing based on interests and goals
Weekly meetings and check-ins for ongoing support
Empowerment to become peer mentors for incoming participants
Faith-based guidance and values integration
Purpose discovery and self-leadership development
Emotional healing and confidence building workshops
Life skills training including financial literacy and health education

Vocational Training (12 months)

Our intensive 12-month vocational training program provides hands-on skills development in market-relevant trades, combined with entrepreneurship education.

Tailoring & Fashion Design: Pattern making, sewing, garment construction, and fashion business basics
Hairdressing & Beauty: Hair styling, braiding, salon management, and beauty services
Craft Making & Handmade Goods: Jewelry, accessories, home decor items, and product development
Entrepreneurship training: Business planning, marketing, customer service, and financial management
Business incubation: Support launching and growing small businesses after graduation
Digital literacy: Basic computer skills, social media for business, and online marketing
